Recycled Products

Our products

The Re-Match process brings valuable product back to its orignal form and makes the recycling of worn-out turf a good deal for everyone – including the environment.

A patented process

The demand for recycling synthetic turf will grow rapidly during the coming years and this makes the Re-Match solution increasingly relevant to pitch-owners.

The patented process is based on mechanical separation of the synthetic turf. It cleans the components into a level of purity where the sand, rubber, backing and fibre effectively can be used in new production cycles.

Spacing

A cradle to cradle solution

Re-Match is the first recycling company in the world to have developed a separation process that makes it possible to clean and recycle all components of the old synthetic turf. The separation is performed via a mechanical process. The worn-out synthetic turf runs through several separation steps, where we use both air and sieving to separate the materials.

In addition, Re-Match uses separation tables and gravity to separate the individual components and remove waste. Re-Match’s advanced separation technology is tested thoroughly for the cleanliness of the end-product and the efficiency of the process.

Once the Re-Match process is complete, the clean, secondary raw materials are ready for reuse in existing and new fields. Projects to reuse backing and fibre for installation of new synthetic turf have been launched with the aim to complete the life cycle and establish a cradle-to-cradle solution.

There are plenty of other possibilities to the use the recycled end products, also in terms of upcycling – outside the turf industry. Have a look for yourself and get reach out to our sales team:

Clean products ready for sale

Our clean sand and rubber, grass fibre and backing is of the highest quality and is regularly quality tested by an external institution. All elements can either be reused within the turf industry or be upcycled into different quality products within other industries:

  • Field/landscape/sporting applications; other sports surfacing, rubber coated sand for infill, rubber floor mats, equestrian surfaces, landscaping and natural turf soil amendment, production of new e-layers/shock pads/underlay
  • Road/rail/marine applications; supplement in asphalt, speed bumps, traffic control devices, rail sleepers, mounting pads, shock absorbers, rubber mats, marine buffers.
  • Construction/industrial applications; industrial flooring, acoustic barriers, airfield runways, carpet underlay, landscaping surfacing, insulation.

Circular turf yarn

As Re-Match have a vision of introducing circular economy into the synthetic turf industry.

We have also ventured into filling the last gap, namely how to make new yarn out of the plastic fibre we recycle.

With the combination of two technologies, Re-Match has developed an innovative process that efficiently separates components and converts clean plastic fibres into a resin usable for production of high-quality turf yarns. This game-changing solution will enable the upcycling of all the components and thus ensure full circularity of worn-out turf. This cradle-to-cradle solution can reduce the environmental footprint of pitches around the world and greatly reduce the waste being disposed.
